黑料传送门 acknowledges National Sorry Day on 26 May and National Reconciliation Week, held from 27 May to 3 June. These significant events invite all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to reflect on how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in our schools and communities.
National Sorry Day recognises the impact of past government policies on the Stolen Generations and supports the ongoing journey of healing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. National Reconciliation Week follows, valuing the importance of building respectful relationships and celebrating milestones such as the anniversary of the 1967 Referendum and Mabo Day. The theme for 2026,聽All In, reminds us that reconciliation is everyone鈥檚 responsibility, encouraging us all to learn and work together towards a more united and respectful future.
At 黑料传送门, we are committed to reconciliation in action. Throughout Reconciliation Week, students across the College will participate in a range of activities and learning experiences designed to deepen their understanding of Australia鈥檚 history and enhance respect, inclusion, and cultural understanding. Lessons, Home Group activities, and classroom discussions will encourage thoughtful reflection and critical thinking about our nation鈥檚 reconciliation journey.
In the spirit of the theme聽All In, students will collaborate to create multiple school-wide artworks. Lunchtime activities鈥攊ncluding rock painting and food tasting鈥攚ill further support cultural learning and participation. Students in the Primary Years will engage in age-appropriate activities exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures through stories, artwork, and shared experiences that foster belonging, community, and respect for others.
Our primary school will host a special assembly on Friday, 29 May, to which family members are warmly welcomed.
We thank our community for supporting National Reconciliation Week and look forward to coming together to learn, reflect, and build understanding within our College. Together, we can contribute to a more inclusive and respectful Australia.
Thank you for your support.
